Here are, painted, all the minis of the Boxed Set. Make no mistake, you won't get CSO quality out of these. But they make terrific value for money and, as importantly, make useful playing pieces. I'd been excited over the boxed set, despite my already owning a metal copy (at least ) of every mini it contained, because plastic minis are more solid (paint does not rub off, they don't break if they fall ). Some of the sculpts are very good, other ones are so so.. but I'll show everything. I went with generic schemes as I want them for grinder use, or for my roleplaying sessions. It's harder for me to pretend that Davion Guards Atlas is in fact a Death Commando. So, I went with 2 colours, grey and tan, and painted each lance with a distinctive camo. Needless to say, grey and tan mechs can fight alongside and against each other, and will compelment my other plastic minis.
So, a general view of each "company"

Now, a few words on how I worked. I am in a hurry to get them done, like I guess every CBT player They were painted in 3 weeks (I usually paint a single mech in a week ... ). I went with 2 layers of a very diluted paint, then washed with a darker paint, and drybrushed before doing the camo and details. A few details were underscored with my micron pen. |

I seem to hear "You can tell by the way I use my walk I'm a woman's 'Mech, no time to talk. Missiles loud and flamers warm, I've been kicked around since I rolled off the production lines in the Castrated Confederation in 3035."
Nice work on all, but I like the tans better. |

The Vindicators arms are barely glued on in the box set, if they are even attached by the time you get it. You can position them easily however you want. |

My first box they were well glued. The second box they were loose. The same with the head piece for the Jenner. Solid fit in the first box but loose in the second. |

Yeah. ditto! That's still prolly a full day's work each day for those 3 weeks. I can spend 18 hours a day working in the art studio, and still wouldn't be able to finish that many pieces. I think you're bragging! J/K
Way better than average table-top quality though - now you're tempting me to get the boxed set . . . |

WE ARE THE APEX PREDATORS of this planet; we can survive in outer space, we can even fight underwtaer in the ocean, survive in the jungle, and thrive in the hotest deserts. We eat anything we want that Mother Earth has for us, if we want to. Some of us even eat each other. With that said, WE ARE THE APEX PREDATORS OF THIS PLANET. Am I so insane to say this? Love the way the lances are balanced out. Not only do you have 6 ready lances to play, but you are also ready for a company fight.
